What I did today Instead of Homework

I'm getting so sick of school. I'm starting to get a wee bit rebellious. I'm going to summer school and I'm dreading it. I need a break. So I've been giving myself more goof-off time. My professors would be appalled if they knew how negative my attitude is at the moment. Oh well. I'll get my homework done eventually.

Cute play and Second chair

Second chair inspired by cousin Jen's blog. it speaks of wisteria, all kinds of beautiful flowers, and birds that fly against windows. The chairs are for a quilt I am making for Jen.

I need another movie.

I haven't seen a really good movie lately. Okay I take that back. Slumdog Millionaire was fantastic. It's too sad to watch often though. I need a new movie I can watch over and over. My old ones are getting worn out. I usually have my annual holiday movie by now too.
I am very excited about the Where The Wild Things Are movie.

It stinks that we have to wait until October to see it.

Messy and Inconvenient

Just days after I complained about how inconvenient our dog was we discovered she was sick. I woke up every hour checking on her, begging her to get better. I couldn't bear the thought of losing her. Nor could I bear the pain my children would go through.

She's better now. Smores is eating, drinking, and active again. Not only is she eating food, but she ate the cable cord today. The cable, phone, and Internet were out for a while. Zach temporarily spliced the cable back together with tape. All is how it should be messy and inconvenient. I wouldn't have it any other way.

First chair

This is a project I've been thinking about for so long. I haven't figured out how to do arms yet. It's a lot harder than it looks.

Toile Quilt for Rachel

This is the Inspiration above from Kaffe Fassett's Museum Quilt book. His quilt was inspired by a quilt made in 1801 signed by Sarah. He calls this Sarah's Pastel Quilt.

I made the quilt below for my youngest sister Rachel. It was done by Easter Sunday. The eggs the kids dyed went so well with it. The quilt reminds me of Rachel youthful and romantic.

Last week was Spring Break finally. It didn't looked like it with the snow and all. I rented all six seasons of Northern Exposure from the library and sewed, cleaned, and filed the mounds of homework. The children and I have been accumulating so much I don't want to throw away. Break is over and so here goes chaos again.
