My mom hosted a pearl party at her house last night. Zoe picked an oyster with a light cream pearl. Then the "pearl lady" put it under the light to show how shiny it was. My friend's daughter picked one with twin peach pearls.
Zoe liked the excitement of finding out what the pearl will look like. The oystered are dead but preserved in a special to keep the pearl from decaying. It's an interesting new idea for in home parties. Archer was mad that he didn't get to go. "it was a girl thing." We've had to do research all morning on how oysters reproduce. He's officially fascinated. Zoe's pearl will be put in a starfish charm necklace for her to wear. I didn't go because I was sick. Zoe said she would recommend it to a friend.
