Poppies will put them to sleep
I love that scene in Wizard of Oz. "Poppies, poppies will put them to sleep." I would love to sleep in a field of flowers. I took the pictures by my muddy garden statues which are inside at the moment. I love combining inside and outside things. It's the Frank Lloyd wright in me. ( I don't think there's any relation it's more a quality than literal blood or genes.) This is the quilt I'm making for my mom's birthday

The sleeping in poppies image always appealed to me too. Your mom's quilt is breathtakingly beautiful...the organic luminous flowers look so cool arranged in their geometric pattern. A bit more of the mix you mentioned: outdoors and in, linear form and nature. I think it is a marvelous creation, and the fabric is amazing.
